TLEE Spas + Wellness Unveils Experiential Concept for Midjourney Spa to Launch in 2027
Leading AI lab Midjourney, Inc. has commissioned TLEE Spas + Wellness to shape the concept and guest experience for the world’s first Midjourney Spa, opening in San Francisco at the end of 2027. TLEE Spas will work alongside Midjourney’s wider design and technology partners on the project.
Located at 300 Grant Avenue, steps from Union Square and the Apple Store, the 24,000‑square‑foot wellness destination will serve as Midjourney Spa’s flagship. The design blends the classic spa experience with tech-forward wellness and fitness amenities, featuring thermal circuit plunge pools and saunas, a fitness studio, body scanners, a multi-purpose live music room, communal tea offerings and touchless treatment offerings.
Nine full‑body ultrasonic scanners, developed by Midjourney, sit at the heart of the spa, offering rapid, water-based noninvasive ultrasound imaging. The technology uses sound waves to visualize the body’s internal structures, letting guests track changes over time and adopt a proactive, preventative approach to health. By blending biometric innovation with spa rituals old and new, the concept introduces a new model for how wellness spaces can bring together health, technology and human experience.
“The Midjourney Spa will feature hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges and cozy rooms filled with pools of golden light that softly scan your body. To build a space where technology and the natural environment work as one, TLEE Spas was chosen for their skill in creating elevated, guest-centric spaces that integrate design, technology and a strong sense of place. The team collaborated with, Basalt, the studio behind Iceland’s iconic Blue Lagoon, and award‑winning San Francisco architects Rapt Studio, to shape an environment where organic forms work in harmony with advanced technology. Soft washes of golden light, the sound of live music, water features, and natural materials all come together to drive a wellness experience balancing technology with nature. The result is an experiential destination that shows how the AI world can meet spa culture and modern wellness through thoughtful design.
