Rundown from iSpa Conference

Michael Lahm, our Vice President and COO, attended the annual, highly acclaimed iSpa Conference (May 2-4th, 2022) at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Day One

After a hiatus of several years, the annual iSpa Conference is back in full session. Community and connections were the order of the day: with meetings, conversation, and chance encounters with colleagues and friends of many years.

My first ever full-body cryo session: I made it all the way to three minutes – a highly effective antidote for my cross-country flight. Ditto for a Biologique Recherche Facial: to fortify my skin from the ravages of burning the midnight oil in the canned casino air. Test-driving the latest innovations in Mind-Sync sound therapy from Living Earth Crafts.

Day Two

Over the past two days at the iSpa Conference 2022, the keynote conversations shined a light on two intersecting humanist principles that are front of mind for the wellness industry as we tentatively emerge from the shell shock of the past two+ years. Not all pain is bad: emotional discomfort comes with positive change, so don’t fear to lean in. Kindness and generosity are strategic dividends, and their biggest payoff often occurs in spontaneous fashion at the most micro level.

Beyond soaking up these simple yet profoundly powerful insights, my days were spent discovering the latest spa innovations, forming new relationships, and savoring the culture of collaboration that pervades the spa community.
