ABOUT THIS PROJECT
As part of the repositioning of this iconic Calistoga landmark, we wanted to simultaneously honor Doc Wilkinson’s pioneering vision of harnessing the pleasure and health benefits of mineral water and mud bathing while creating a more intentional and elevated setting to experience these timeless rituals and other spa and wellness services.
Channeling the feel-good effects of Mother Nature we extended the spa setting outdoors, expanding the opportunities to soak up the famed healing waters and natural surroundings in social or solitary fashion.
In conjunction with SB Architects and EDG Design, interior spaces have been thoughtfully updated while still retaining the property’s relaxed mid-century vibe, for a very fresh take on spa, hospitality, and wellness.
